Bechyn Czech Folk Dancers
Our Bechyn Czech Folk Dance group was formed in 1994 and performs each year at the Czech Heritage Festival. Our dance group now includes second generation dancers! Members range in age from 3 years old thru adult (even grandparents!). We strive to perform authentic Czech/Slovak folk dances, and also have choreographed original folk dances. In 2013, we debuted our new kroj (folk dress) which is fashioned after kroj from the Valassko region, Moravia, Czech Republic.
Our weekly practices start in June. If you are interested in joining our dance group, please contact us on our contact page.
Dating back to the 1870's, St. Mary's and henryville township played an important role in Renville County history. The 520 page book spans three centuries of church, family and henryville township history.

33rd Annual
Czech Heritage Festival Sunday, August 11, 2024, Bechyn, Minnesota
Plans are underway for our 2024 Festival in Bechyn!
We are looking forward to seeing all of you this year in Bechyn. We have a great line-up of entertainment for August 11, 2024.
We will start the day with a Polka Mass at 10 a.m. before a Czech Dinner at 11 a.m. and afternoon entertainment, including the Sleepy Eye Concertina Club!
Incredible music along with our delicious Czech foods will make our 33rd Festival a grand celebration! Please mark your calendar and join us in Bechyn on August 11th, 2024. See you then!!
